• America's most dignified body, the White House press corps, is squabbling over who should get old Helen Thomas' seat now that she's been run out of the biz. CNN's Ed Henry is backing Fox News, because CNN's Ed Henry has already had ample "Face time" with Rahm Emanuel's "Super Soaker," so what does he care? Obviously the seat should go to Jim Newell, who owns a suit(?).
• Clark Hoyt describes his time as NYT ombudsman as "fascinating" and "interesting," answers that, ironically, prove just how uninteresting Clark Hoyt is. Though quite competent!
• More Newsweek news, more, more! Keith Kelly reports that Mort Zuckerman's former business partner, Fred Drasner, has joined the bidding for the magazine. Add him to the pile! Also, Newsweek's executive editor, Ted Moncreiff, is moving to W magazine. More entertainingly, Howie Kurtz is in a name-calling war with Newsweek's Tumblr over who is really the sensitive and thin-skinned one. Charity boxing match? Yes please!
