  • During the World Cup, Paris Hilton and her pals were detained for marijuana possession. It turned out that the pot wasn't Paris', or she was able to pay off the police into saying this. She must have left her bribery diamonds at home on a trip to Corisca, because she was "briefly detained" today when authorities found pot on her. They let her go, because she had less than a gram and wasn't about to share with any of the cop. [TMZ]
  • The battle between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva has been waged with transcripts, tapes and, allegedly, fists. Now a new medium: Someone has released pictures of Oksana with her teeth chipped, which Radar claims were taken within 24 hours of Mel punching her in the face. TMZ, which is for some reason totally team Mel, says the images are doctored; her dentist apparently thinks it doesn't look like her nose in the picture, and if dentists are experts in anything it's noses.   • What do Playboy and US Weekly have in common? Both paid Levi Johnston a lot of money to not show his penis in their magazine. US Weekly may have paid $100,000 for their big exclusive about Bristol Palin and Levi getting back together, though an US Weekly rep said "we didn't pay $100,000." So they probably paid $100,001.   • Lindsay Lohan's new lawyer, Bob Shapiro, says she is going to jail. Shapiro agreed to take her case after Lilo fired her old lawyer only on condition that she serve some time in jail. Meanwhile, she and Samantha Ronson were spotted hanging out again. [TMZ][People]
  • Well, looks like that new Blade movie isn't coming out for a while. A judge upheld Wesley Snipes' three-year jail sentence for owing more than $12,000,000 in back taxes. [TMZ]

Rumor has it, he tried to kill himself by drinking 8 bottles of Cristal and driving a Lamborghini off a cliff, but he was saved when he landed on a giant rotating leopard-print bed on the canyon floor.
