Dating in the Dark contestants date each other in complete darkness. Once the sparks start to fly, the pair must reveal their physical appearance to each other. The sad truth is that most contestants get dumped based upon their looks.

Oh yeah—it gets awkward. When it comes time for the breakups at the end of the show, there's no real excuse with two people that got along really well in the dark, except for it being boiled down to the other person's looks.
