What kind of silly people would give Congress the grade "A" when asked? According to a new poll, it's most likely to be... well, educated, wealthier people who work with Congress on things.

A Politico poll asks the usual questions to two tiers: ordinary losers nationwide, and "D.C. elites," those with college degrees who make over $75,000 and are involved in government or policy work. Congress, like most American institutions, is appreciated more by people with jobs, education, and money.

This doesn't mean elites actually like Congress, in the sense of majority high-approval.

While those involved in the political and policy-making process in the nation's capital didn't give Congress a rave review, the 24 percent who gave the body either an "A" or "B" is more than twice the percentage of all Americans who were asked the same question.

Asked to grade the "overall efforts" of the current Congress, only 11 percent of all Americans who were asked the question gave the institution an "A" or "B." Thirty-two percent gave Congress a "C" while 23 graded out its performance as a "D." Twenty-seven percent gave Congress an "F."

You know, only 27% of the national population giving Congress an "F" is pretty good, given other recent polling data! America is on the rise again.
