Fake Chevron Ads: Just a Little Too Honest

The latest action from anti-corporate pranksters The Yes Men: an elaborate fake advertising campaign for Chevron, complete with fake ads, a fake website, and even fake trade magazine coverage. To detect the fakery, you have to read the fine print.

Ho ho ho, not even the edgiest of oil industry faux-honesty ads go quite that far. Still, it fooled Fast Company, and probably would have fooled us too.
Chevron plans to continue drilling for oil and influencing policy.
