Nuclear Bomb Shelter for Sale in Britain: Only £350,000
A British electrical engineer, Mike Thomas is selling his bomb shelter that he built during Cold War hysteria, and is asking for £350,000. It can withstand a nuclear blast 80 times the size of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
Thomas told the Telegraph that he built the shelter in 1985 "because I was concerned about the threat of a nuclear attack" from the Russians. The shelter is 300 square feet, with 32-inch thick concrete walls. It can also hold a month's worth of food and water for his family. "The room is incredibly strong and has everything you need inside. If the worst did happened it is exactly where you would want to be."
