Robbing banks in stupid costumes is so hot these days. But one Connecticut crook has put them all to shame: Police in Wolcott are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Thursday dressed as Spinal Tap's Derek Smalls.

Though his disguise was awesome, this bank robber's attitude was not very awesome at all. He threatened customers and bank employees that he would "blow their heads off" if they tried to pull any moves, according to the Hartford Courant. The man, who NBC says was disguised as an "aging rocker" resembling Derek Smalls, brandished two handguns and fled in a vehicle, which was later found. "Derek" is still on the run.

There's no excuse for robbing banks and threatening people's lives. But still, nice costume!
