We've often wondered what child singing star Justin Bieber thinks about current events. In the new video for his single "Pray," we see that people starving and dying keep him up at night. But prayer will make everything better.

The video is built around a montage of footage from things around the world that typically signify "sad things" to the middle-school set: Including what appears to be the Haitian earthquake, protests over the health care bill, wars, homeless people, kids dying of undetermined disease, stray dogs. Totally sucks that those starving Haitians have probably never even heard of Call of Duty 2 on Xbox360. Why can't everything be perfect in the world?

But, take heart, global citizens. Literally: take this giant steel heart that Justin Bieber sits in as he descends from the ceiling of a super big stadium, strumming on his guitar and singing:

I pray for the life not started
I pray for all the ones not breathing.
I pray for all the souls in need.

Oh, hey, Justin Bieber's gone from bro-ing down with Ludacris in a bowling alley to singing pro-life anthems. The messiah is here, and he's teaming up with Wal-Mart to pray the world into slickly-produced harmony.
