New York's lame-duck billionaire mayor Michael Bloomberg, who can do whatever he wants, "accepted responsibility" for the city's poor snow cleanup today, after days of whining and sniping about how everyone should shut up. So, can you shut up now?

The apparently class-based difference between plowing schedules for individual neighborhoods has "weakened" Mayor Bloomberg, who, again, is a lame-duck billionaire playboy who can do or say whatever he wants. But fine, sure, he'll throw you New York people your bone today, with a snowpology. This is what you want, right? A snowpology:

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg accepted responsibility Wednesday for the city's response to a crippling snowstorm, pledging to have every street plowed by morning and then to figure out why his administration's cleanup efforts were inadequate.

Speaking at a hardware store in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx, Mr. Bloomberg said he was "extremely dissatisfied" with the performance of the city's emergency management system. He said the response was "a lot worse" than after other recent snowstorms and was not as efficient as "the city has a right to expect."

Watch the clip. It's responsibility-accepting of a distinctly Bloombergian flavor: bitchy, and through clenched teeth. It wasn't easy for him to do this, so everyone let him off the hook, okay? Let him go back to playing with his seasonal presents, his cache of rare earth minerals, raptor bones, and diamond-encrusted dildos.
