Rupert Murdoch's iPad newspaper, The Daily, finally has a classy internet domain, TheDaily.com, from which to promote itself later this month. But the site's "coming soon" greeting is not so nice.

Greeting curious visitors with a big bold "Forbidden" sign might have long, solid history among both speakeasies and default web error pages. It's also on some level appropriate for a subscriber-only product like The Daily, which is to be walled off from the greater internet, and which only took control of its web address within the past couple of months. But with the launch reportedly just two weeks away, now might be a good time to start buttering up prospective readers.
