The Facebook Folk Singer
A line in this acoustic Facebook ode nicely sums up our feelings about the monster social network: "Oh, it would be sublime/If I could erase you/Without being disconnected from society." The tune has officially begun to go viral.
Joan Baez it isn't, but Lynnea Malley's "the Facebook Song" is at least more heartfelt —and less horny — than that other pillar of the Facebook music scene, N'importe Comment, aka "that French song with like buttons on ladies' derrieres." It probably helps that we consumed it like everything else on Facebook, skimming approximately the first third and moving on.
