Yesterday we told you a story about Arianna Huffington being escorted off a plane by police after she refused to turn off her Blackberry. It's been officially confirmed! Also officially confirmed: she could not be less concerned about illicit Blackberry-ing.

The New York Post gets "law-enforcement sources" to confirm that Huffington and another passenger did indeed have to have a chat with police after the man berated Huffington for refusing to turn off her Blackberry when she was asked to do so, on the plane. Here's the humble apology for Huffington's behavior, from her spokesman (who is under standing orders not to speak to us, true story):

Her rep, Mario Ruiz, sniffed: "There was a passenger who seemed upset. Arianna thought he didn't like the snacks. Guess not. Maybe he was an iPhone fan. As you know, the battle between iPhone lovers and BlackBerry users can get pretty heated."

Haha! Rules are for populists who don't sit in First Class.
