Sign Up Today for the North Korean Amateur Open Golf Tournament
For $1,300, you can enter the North Korean Amateur Open golf tournament in Pyongyang, this April. You'll be playing the same course where Kim Jong-il miraculously shot 11 holes in one — his first time ever playing golf!
The Pyongyang Golf Complex invites you to the tournament where, "it is claimed that when Kim Jong Il opened the course in 1991, he shot a world record 38 under par on his first ever round of golf (Including 11 hole in ones!)." Imagine that! And who knew that Kim was such a nimble athlete?
You can enter to play at the tournament's official website, which is worth a look even if you don't plan to compete. It says the Pyongyang Golf Course is "The World's Most Exclusive Golf Course!" which is probably true, considering it's virtually impossible for many people to even get into the country. We just hope someone shoots video of the tournament.
