Price Slashed on Single-Family Idaho Snake Den
If you look hard enough there are some great real estate deals to be found, like this single-family home in Rexburg, Idaho. The original asking price was slashed by $66,000! But it comes with something extra: thousands of snakes.
This house is only about five years old, but it has been infested with garter snakes since its construction and can be yours for just $109,200. The previous owners filed for bankruptcy and the property was taken over by Chase Bank, who turned to broker Todd Davis at Realty Quest to sell the place. The listing, from Realty Quest:
This great 5 bed, 2 bath home has recently been remodeled, is on almost 1 & 3/4 acres with a double car attached garage! The main level has a large family room with propane fireplace, a large kitchen with center island, a full main bath, 3 large bedrooms, and a large laundry room. The upper level has 2 large bedrooms, a 3/4 bath, and a spacious family room. Call us today to come take a look!
No mention in there of the thousands of snakes that live in and around the house, but you get the general idea of the property anyway, right? Plus, garter snakes aren't even poisonous! Oh, but garter snakes do have one nasty trait — they "secrete a foul-smelling fluid from anal glands when alarmed," which can attract other snakes from as far as two miles away. But we have a simple solution to this problem: Burn the fucking house down.
