Ron Paul won the presidential straw poll at this week's Conservative Political Action Conference in D.C., with 30 percent of the vote. He beat out Mitt Romney and Chris Christie, who came in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Many people were not happy. Salon reports,

When the results were officially announced, CPAC's main hall erupted in cheers and boos, with Paul supporters trying to out-shout the disappointed majority.

So, now Ron Paul is president of CPAC. The first thing Paul will do is abolish the death penalty at CPAC: No more stonings for Republicans! This is the second year in a row that Ron Paul has won the CPAC presidential straw poll. This is a big deal: remember how, last year after CPAC, Paul went from unelectable Libertarian gnome to serious presidential candidate?
