When the FCC approved its net neutrality rules earlier this year, it pissed off just about everyone. The House of Representatives were definitely not thrilled: A bill was passed today that would strike down the FCC's net neutrality rules.

Net neutrality advocates hated the various loopholes that allowed ISPs to offer varying bandwidth to some customers and didn't do enough to ensure neutrality for wireless service. But in passing their bill, the House took issue more with the fact that the FCC was calling the shots. "Congress has not authorized the Federal Communications Commission to regulate the Internet," Rep. Greg Walden told the Times.

Doesn't really matter, since the Senate probably won't pass the bill and Obama has said he'd veto it even if they did. In the meantime, Bittorrent away!
