That screech that you hear is the collective squeal of every Lady Gaga fan wetting themselves with delight that the pop music thingamajig's newest single "Judas" found its way on to the internet today. Guess what? It's pretty good.

It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's a nice, upbeat Lady Gaga track, and there's nothing wrong with that. And it's going to be hard for people to claim she ripped off Madonna for this one (at least until the video comes out). It's got the synths, obtuse lyrics, and drum and bass breakdown that made fans fall in love with Lady G in the first place. And after the disappointment of first single "Born This Way," hopes for Gaga's upcoming new album may be resurrected. She's just like Jesus!

As for those obtuse lyrics, they seem to be about Gaga's love for a bad man—a Judas type—when she knows that she should be loving someone good and virtuous like Jesus. Yes, just like the rest of us, Gaga loves a bad boy. Am I right, ladies?
