A 'Modern Romeo and Juliet' Are Missing
Two photogenic teens from Miami who wouldn't look entirely out of place starring in a cable movie about the royal wedding (omgomg, just a few more hours!) have gone missing. Police are calling it "a modern day Romeo and Juliet."
Jackson Powell, 18, and Nicole Dones, 17, were last seen at their senior prom on April 16. Both were being pressured by their families to slow things down after their grades began to slip, and the two were caught playing hooky together. Police think the couple took off in Jackson's mother's Jeep, and with no credit cards, will run out of money soon.
"Every day that passes without hearing from them is agony for us," says Nicole's mother. "All this uncertainly brings a lot of fear."
It's a modern day Romeo and Juliet! Hopefully it will have a happier ending, because [SPOILER ALERT] Romeo and Juliet both die at the end of that play. Maybe they should bill this as a modern Blue Lagoon instead? A modern Natural Born Killers? A modern [anything Nicholas Sparks has ever written]? I guess Romeo and Juliet works. Come back, you crazy kids! Your mothers are worried sick. [People, Facebook, photo via Facebook]
