Minnesota's top Tea Party hostess Michele Bachmann skipped Sunday brunch to go on television and discuss how she feels about the Republican party's plan to take away Medicare from America's Olds. Surprisingly, she's not totally down with it, and is using punctuation to let everybody know.

Chatting with Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, Bachmann said she "put that asterisks out there." Out where?

I put an asterisks on my support, I put a blog posting up that said just as much.

Hmm, I just went over to her blog and couldn't find the post, or the asterisks, or anything about questioning the GOP's plan. There's an informative post about Planned Parenthood making things easy for sex traffickers, though!

Bachmann says she also wants to put an asterisk on her vote on the GOP plan—which is very nice of her, but asterisks don't really count when tallying up congressional votes, do they? It always seemed like a straightforward yes-or-know thing. Whatever, she wants us to know that she cares. Maybe in time she can create some sort of foster kid-type program for the wealthy to adopt old people who are bankrupted and left homeless because of their health care costs.

In other news, Bachmann told some conservatives in New Hampshire that young Americans are losing their "economic liberty" because of taxes, and that reminds her of learning about the Holocaust many years ago:

"I tell you this story because I think in our day and time, there is no analogy to that horrific action," she said, referring to the Holocaust. "But only to say, we are seeing eclipsed in front of our eyes a similar death and a similar taking away. It is this disenfranchisement that I think we have to answer to."

Taxes: they're just like Auschwitz, but with an asterisk beside them.
