Murderer Attacks Prosecutor During Closing Argument
It's not a good idea, when you're on trial, to attack the prosecutor in the courtroom. But Emanuel D. "E Man" Mitchell had already been convicted of murder, so he probably figured he had nothing to lose.
Well, nothing to lose except the fight. Which he lost. Mitchell jumped on Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater (pictured) while Prater was delivering his closing argument on punishment Monday (Mitchell had already been convicted by the jury); The Oklahoman writes that "the two men fell fighting to the floor at the feet of the victim's mother," but "Prater ended up on top of the convict."
So, if you ever find yourself accused of murder: Don't attack your prosecutor. And if you have to attack your prosecutor, at least win the fight. Maybe, if nothing else, the jury will be impressed?
