Perhaps trying to establish himself in a new neighborhood, a 30-year-old Brooklyn man got tough with a pair of teenagers who were kicking cars and trash cans on his block early on Sunday. After the kids mouthed off to Thomas Dunikowski and his new neighbors, Dunikowski decided that he just wasn't going to take it anymore:

From an upstairs window, the police said, Mr. Dunikowski fired a semiautomatic rifle into the street, wounding at least two teenagers on the street below.

One of them, 17, was struck in the neck but was expected to survive, the police said. A 14-year-old was treated for bullet fragments in his right arm and left thigh.

One witness said that Dunikowski got at least 10 shots off. He's also got a prior arrest record for "domestic incidents." Imagine that.
