It seems that Zeus, mighty god of thunder and lightning, or Thor or somebody, is upset about the Casey Anthony murder trial. Mere hours after Anthony was told she'd soon be out of jail, lightning struck a makeshift memorial set up for Anthony's late daughter Caylee.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

A tall tree in the same area where Caylee Marie Anthony's remains were found was struck by lightning this afternoon - just hours after her mother learned she would be released from jail next week.

Yikes. The gods are on Nancy Grace's side. Or, wait, are they? Why would they send lightning bolts down to a memorial? Shouldn't the lightning have struck the jail where Casey lives right now? It's mysterious. One local Orlandoan has a compelling, if different, theory: "It could be a sign from the angels that they aren't happy with what's happened." Wait, the angels are sending lightning bolts now? That can't be good.

But yes, angels, I agree with you. I am not happy with what's happened either. At all. With anything that's happened with any of this. [Sentinel via The Superficial; photo via Getty]
