Track Palin and Britta Hanson, Sarah Palin's eldest son and his wife, are doing exactly what the Bible says you should do: They're being fruitful and multiplying. They're also doing something the Bible doesn't really make much mention of: They're registering at Target!

A tipster points us to a baby registry page on the chain's bullseye-covered website (a recurring Palin motif), where it reads:

Britta's baby girl
Parent(s): Britta Hanson
Expected Arrival Date: September 29, 2011
Location:wasilla, AK

The registry was once visible to anyone, but has been recently set to private. But thanks to Google cache, we can actually see what was in it — a lot of baby crap, not surprisingly, much of it already paid for. From a BABYBJÖRN ("black, classic") to a Munchkin Diaper Pail to a Homedics Sound Spa Lullaby Relaxation Machine, the Littlest Palin will certainly want for nothing.

Also worth noting: The arrival date on the cached registry is listed as one month earlier, or August 29, 2011, making Hanson around five-and-a-half months pregnant on her wedding day. Why switch it around? Who knows. Maybe it's an Alaskan red herring to throw us off the due-date trail.

Of course, this could all just be a hoax, as gift registries are easy enough to fake. But then why go the trouble of hiding it from public view? And where are the jokey items? The Baby's First Rifle, the strained moose, the Little Golden Books version of Paul Revere? No, this all feels like the real deal to me.
