Here's a teaser trailer for the drama We Need to Talk About Kevin, an adaptation of a popular novel and a favorite at this year's Cannes film festival. It looks dark.

I'm not sure this is really a spoiler, but just in case, spoiler alert. The main hook of the movie is that the titular character is the perpetrator of a high school shooting, and his parents, Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly, must deal with the fallout (especially Swinton) while also flashing back to earlier days with their son (Ezra Miller, an up-and-coming young actor who is auditioning to be the next Johnny Depp or something). Unfortunately this Kevin that we need to talk about was always a strange and cold child, and he and Swinton never really bonded. And then he goes and shoots up his school and she's gotta deal with that. In other words, it's a comedy. [via Guardian]
