See the Eight Years of Work on the 9/11 Memorial in 90 Seconds
You know how much we love a time-lapse video of New York! Here's one of the work done on the 9/11 memorial between 2004 and 2011. Why doesn't this thing have the dramatic soundtrack and whirling lights we're used to?
The footage may not be as sexy as some other of those fast-moving works of internet cinema, but you can see just how much construction was done to get the site ready for its public unveiling on September 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the attacks. Taking a decade to get the memorial finished seemed like way too long for many people, but maybe this video will make them happy. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it can look like it only takes a minute.
