If you didn't catch the finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm on Sunday night, then you missed what well might have been the best single performance of the season: That of Greg, the obviously gay 7-year-old son of a woman Larry David is dating. ("It's a sewing machine. It's a sewing machine! *SQUEEEEEEE!* IT'S A SEWING MACHINE!!!") It was easily the most inspired comedic display of budding queendom since The Onion's now-classic, How To Find A Masculine Halloween Costume For Your Effeminate Son.

Greg was played to charming perfection by Eddie Schweighardt, a young actor who obviously is going places. Here's the rundown on everything you need to know about him:

  • Hails from Wyckoff, New Jersey.
  • Got a big break playing the role of Sorrow in New York City Opera's 2010 production of Puccini's Madama Butterfly.
  • Has modeled, appeared as an angry youth in this music video, and appeared in Nurse Jackie and TV commercials for Zantac.
  • Has a far more open-minded mother than the one Ana Gasteyer played on Curb: "The theater seems to be Eddie's setting," [Eddie's mother] Sharon said. "It's the costumes, the drama, the flair, the makeup, the wigs, going into character. He seems to love it."

Go get 'em, Eddie! (And get a life, Jews!) [northjersey.com]
