After being robbed of $400 in a drug deal, the mother of Cassondra Marie Rassi—the smiling woman whose mugshots you see here—decided to retaliate against the alleged dealer-thief by building a pipe bomb and blowing up the person's car.

According to Rassi's plea agreement, cited by the Orlando Sentinel, the 25-year-old Floridian tried to help her mom pull off the explosive plot, as any loving daughter would. Unfortunately the feds place compliance with criminal statutes above loyalty to one's parents, and charged Rassi with possession of an unregistered destructive device and possession of a destructive device by a convicted felon. Now she faces decades in prison. Hopefully her ability to smile in the face of adversity will help her endure her ordeal.
