Anderson Cooper 'Discovers' Reddit's Jailbait Section
[There was a video here]
We've been telling you about "Jailbait" the grossest section of the message board Reddit for a while. Now CNN has "discovered" the dark heart of internet nerds' favorite hivemind.
Anderson Cooper ran a big segment about Reddit last night, which you can see above. Legal analyst and New Yorker staff writer Jeffrey Toobin said he had never even heard of Reddit, which is interesting since until recently was run by Conde Nast. (It's now controlled by Advance Publications, Conde's parent company.) This should increase pressure on Reddit, which is sticking by its "free speech" argument, which, by the way, is bullshit considering how many rules governing "free speech" Reddit already has in place.
But, seriously, Anderson: you "discovered" Jailbait? We know you don't like us, (God knows why), but at least acknowledge that you and your producers didn't single-handedly unearth the place. On Reddit, there's enough perviness to go around.
