The latest issue of the Italian gossipy mag Oggi features a cover story on Amanda Knox and her acquittal on stab-murder charges last Monday, plus a free set of knives and a pizza cutter. Clever.

America's moneymags (looking at you, Fortune and Forbes) should rework this marketing trick into something more tasteful and truthful. By this, I mean that they should offer free bundles of money the next time they stuck a billionaire on their covers. They can get the cash from the story subjects themselves. It would not violate journalistic ethics in any way.
