As a fellow OCHT, I understand SJP's plight. Your hair is right there, connected to your head, available at all times, how can you resist? It's like having a socially acceptable security blanket with you at all times. Luckily, as far as obsessive-compulsive behavior goes, OCHT is not so bad. The most awkward part is when you inadvertently end up with some loose hairs twined between your fingers, and then you must surreptitiously drop them on the ground, or brush them off on the back of a chair.
