Bored Boyfriend Buries His Girlfriend Alive (But She Lives!)
Let's start with the good news: Michelina Lewandowska, a 27-year-old mother from Leeds, England, is physically fine after enduring a 300,000-volt tasering, imprisonment inside a computer box, and subsequent vivisepulture — aka premature burial — all at the hands of the father of her young son. The bad news is everything that comes after the word "fine" in the previous sentence. The father, 25-year-old Marcin Kasprzak, had a simple motive: He had grown bored with her.
The case is now before a British criminal court, where they are learning the couple's story: The two had met six years ago in Poland and migrated to England, having a son together, Jakub, in the interim. He's now three. But Karprzak grew weary of Lewandowska, openly complaining to her that the girls he saw at the gym were better-looking. When he found a girl he liked better, he concocted a scenario to remove Lewandowska from the picture.
With the help of an accomplice, 18-year-old Patryk Borys, Kasprzak tased Lewandowska, then bound and gagged her with packing tape, and "imprisoned her in a box," prosecutor Jonathan Sharp told the court. It was a computer box, into which two air holes had been cut. The two men then loaded the box in the trunk of their car, drove it to a wooded area, and buried it in a shallow grave. They placed a tree, weighing approximately 85 pounds, on top of the grave, then drove to a supermarket ATM and withdrew money from Lewandowska's bank account.
But Lewandowska had not been paralyzed by the tasering, as Karprzak assumed, and instead stayed silent through the ordeal. It took an hour, and "great difficulty," but she broke out of the box and waved down a passing car.
And who knows. One day, after years of tutelage from a patient Shaolin monk, she might eventually get the bloody retribution she so desperately craves. In the meantime, it's in the hands of those guys in the ridiculous wigs. [Daily Mail, BBC, Photo via lightbox/Flickr]
