In light of the many changes taking place across several Gawker media sites, we are looking to add some especially courageous night and weekend writers to the Gawker team. Beginning this weekend, we will hold auditions for those interested in sacrificing their time and relationships for the Gawker graveyard shifts. Each prospective writer will be assigned a full weekend (or two to three nights) to cover.

This position is not for the faint of heart, mind you, and writers should be prepared to face our notoriously brutal, snarling pack of commenters head on. Commenters, this is where you come in.

Each of you will have the opportunity to weigh in on the auditioning writers in the comments section- AND THE COMMENTS SECTION ONLY- of their posts (beware: all commenters who email us rather than comment will be banned). Go nuts, in the comments. Tell us about those writers you liked, those you loathed, and those who made you want to throw your computer into a bathtub full of cyanide. We want to hear it all.

So be bold and brave, ye auditioners, and email two brief samples of your work Leah@gawker.com if interested.
