Ad Agency Uses Dancing Sex Workers To Spread Awareness Of Human Trafficking
To bolster the poignancy of its anti-human-trafficking campaign on behalf of Stop the Traffik, Dutch ad agency Duval Guillaume Modem brought a bunch of female dancers to one of Amsterdam's well-known red-light districts, and had them pretend to be prostitutes putting on a show to attract as many passers-by as possible.
It worked like a charm — and that's when DGM brought their message home: Thousands of women every year follow the dream of a dance career to red-light districts. They are tricked, bought, and sold, and it needs to stop.
