Canadian Body Parts Suspect: A Gay Porn Star Who Allegedly Tortured Animals for Fun
Luka Rocco Magnotta, an alleged stripper, escort, and gay porn star who has been previously accused of perpetrating gruesome acts of animal abuse, is been sought by police in Montreal in connection with the case of a limbless torso found stuffed inside a suitcase yesterday morning.
Two parcels containing additional body parts were also discovered yesterday in Ottawa and linked to the torso in Montreal.
The 29-year-old Toronto native has been living in Montreal for the past four months, renting an apartment in the building behind which the suitcase was found. The Canada Post office branch from which the severed hand and foot were mailed to the Conservative Party headquarters and a second unidentified destination is located only a few blocks away.
Magnotta's neighbors told the press they thought he was a nice, quiet guy. "It's like you see in the movies. It's always the good neighbour. It's the cliche," said one resident.
Magnotta's apartment, which reportedly smelled of "rotten meat," betrayed a darker side, as blood stains were said to be visible on the mattress.
Little has been revealed about the victim. He is said to be a white male, and police believe he and the suspect knew each other. Police have been showing residents photos of both men.
Much more is known about Magnotta.
A video posted online four months ago claims Magnotta is a serial animal abuser who regularly uploaded footage of himself torturing and killing kittens, and then engaging in sexual acts with the carcasses. He was said to be "on the run," and living under an alias. Concern was raised that he could kill more animals and "even progress to humans."
It is believed that he also recorded his latest crime and posted the video online.
His personal website is full of rambling, paranoid jeremiads complaining of identity theft and cyber-stalking, as well as "media propaganda."
In an undated interview, Magnotta is said to have undergone cosmetic surgery "in order to look like his idol," James Dean. He explained that he "he had to drastically change his appearance" because he "was nervous to answer his door and phone."
