Career pothead Tommy Chong revealed during a recent interview with CNN's Don Lemon that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer "about a month ago."

The stoner-comedy legend told Lemon he has "a slow stage one" cancer, and has had it "for a long time."

According to Chong, he began experiencing symptoms eight years ago "while incarcerated for selling drug paraphernalia." He claims he had been drug free for three years around the time of his first prostate-related problem, "so I know it had nothing to do with cannabis."

In fact, Chong is using cannabis to treat his condition — specifically hemp oil. "So (legalizing marijuana) means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested," he said.
