'Kindness in America' Author Admits He Shot Himself
The 39-year-old West Virginian man who was reportedly injured in a random drive-by while hitchhiking in Montana confessed to police that he actually shot himself.
The case is still being investigated by the Valley County Sheriff's Office, and charges could still be brought against Ray Dolin.
52-year-old Charles Lloyd Danielson III of Tumwater, Washington, was arrested Saturday for allegedly shooting Dolin on Highway 2 outside of Glasgow. He was released yesterday, and the felony assault charge brought against him was dropped.
Dolin told authorities he was hitchhiking across the state while penning a memoir entitled Kindness in America.
