Looking to brush off a reporter's question with some style, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid today issued a timely retort to an inquiry from Roll Call's Steve Dennis about plans to force Republicans to go on record about immigration by bringing the DREAM Act to the floor.

"I don't want to answer that question," Reid responded. "That's a clown question, bro."

The quip was on loan from Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper, who last week ignited a viral firestorm after he responded to a Canadian journalist's inquiry about his beer of choice with the insta-iconic phrase. (Harper is both 19 and a Mormon, so asking him about beer is kind of clownish.)

Reid is apparently a fan of Harper's, and has been waiting some time for a chance to use the chic riposte.

Dennis notes that Reid ultimately answered the question, telling him that Dems "have already tried twice to pass the DREAM Act, only to run into GOP filibusters."
