Video Tribute to Nelson Mandela Imagines Life Under Apartheid if Modern Social Networks Existed
Nelson Mandela, South Africa's first post-Apartheid president and the man lovingly referred to by his compatriots as Tata Madiba, turns 94 years young today.
To celebrate, Prezence Digital put together a video tribute that asks an intriguing question: "Would the father of our nation have spent 27 years in captivity if he (and others) had access to the same technology, social media platforms and tools as we do today?"
The answer is ambiguous, but there is no denying that access to those technologies and platforms should absolutely make political imprisonment impossible.
