Cool girls named Meghan from middle school agree that there is no more gifted artist of this or any century than Lisa Frank.

The inspiration for the modern weather phenomenon known as "a rainbow," Frank built her empire out of Trapper Keepers depicting such scenes as a polar bear and puffins gossiping beneath a technicolor sky, golden retriever puppies reclining in a technicolor desert, and The Incredulity of Saint Thomas.

Despite the blindingly bright visibility of her work, Lisa Frank herself is notoriously private. Following a recent interview with The Daily—her first in years—it's clear why.

This woman is crazy.
