Vince Vaughn and CBS are teaming up to bring the Brady Bunch back to TV with a rebooted series penned by Raising Hope/My Name Is Earl writer/producer Mike Mariano.

Deadline, which first broke the story, has the complete synopsis:

In the new Brady Bunch...a divorced Bobby Brady, with children of his own, is remarried to a woman who also has kids, and together they also share a child. In addition, their ex-spouses are still part of their lives.

Mariano will also executive produce alongside Vaughn, Vaughn's sister Victoria, and Peter Billingsley of A Christmas Story fame.

The reboot is currently in the early script stage and could still be scrapped, but Collider notes that "this is a high profile property," meaning "CBS will do everything they can to get it in tip-top condition."
