A Pennsylvania man who was distracted by a cellphone conversation fell over the edge of the platform at a Philadelphia-area train station, slamming head-first into the tracks.

Fortunately for him, there were no trains scheduled to arrive at the time.

The man stumbled around for over a minute — and may have even passed out — before someone finally came to his aid.

Surveillance footage of the incident, which occurred last year, was recently released as part of a local campaign to raise awareness of distraction-related accidents, which have more than quadrupled in the last seven years, according to the Associated Press.

"One of the messages will certainly be 'pick your head up' — I want to say 'nitwit,' but I probably shouldn't call them names," said deputy mayor of transportation utilities Rina Cutler.
