Courtney Stodden Isn't Getting Her Own Reality Show, She's Joining VH1's Couples Therapy Because Her Marriage is Falling Apart
So it turns out the reality show Courtney Stodden is shooting over the next three weeks isn't a self-titled televised tell-all: According to TMZ, the teen bride and her 52-year-old husband Doug Hutchison have joined VH1's Couples Therapy in the hopes of finding help for their "major" marital problems.
"[There are] obvious problems in their relationship because of their age difference and the notoriety they've gotten because of their relationship," an insider told the gossip site.
Hutchison and Stodden got hitched in Las Vegas in May of last year. Due to Stodden's young age — 16 at the time — her mother had to sign a marriage license permission slip before she could legally marry.
Couples Therapy, hosted by marriage-counselor-to-the-stars Dr. Jenn Berman, will feature four other "celebrity" couples undergoing "intense counseling" over the course of several weeks.
