The Daily Show Scoops Good Morning America with First Robert Pattinson Interview Since Kristen Stewart Affair News Broke
Despite multiple claims to the contrary, Robert Pattinson's first televised interview since his very public split from cheating girlfriend Kristen Stewart will not be conducted on Good Morning America.
Instead, the actor will sit down with The Daily Show's Jon Stewart for a one-on-one on Monday — nearly two full days before his much-ballyhooed GMA interview.
"Robert Pattinson is confirmed to appear as a guest on The Daily Show, this Monday, August 13" rep Renata Luczak told HollywoodLife.com. "It will be his second appearance since March 2, 2010."
Concerning the speculation that Pattinson will discuss his relationship with Kristen Stewart, Gossip Cop says the actor has "never talked about his personal relationships before, and he's not going to start next week." Instead, Pattinson is most likely to use the platform to promote his upcoming film, Cosmopolis.
Jon Stewart is indeed a classy guy, but it seems unlikely that he would let such a significant get pass by without at least a sound bite to show for it.
