Reader Kate S. sent in this headline from the Houston Chronicle — "Armstrong takes final leap."

Obviously it's a reference to his famous words: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." But it's still odd phrasing. Is death a leap forward? Did Armstrong spend most of his life leaping?

Not to mention the fact that, taken literally, it sounds like Neil Armstrong committed suicide by jumping from a very high place.

And yet, still more accurate than what NBC News first offered.
