NBC announced today that Saturday Night Live will return for its 38th season on September 15th with host Seth MacFarlane and musical guest Frank Ocean.

MacFarlane, who will be promoting the return of his own TV shows as well as the Blu-ray release of his feature film Ted, will be making his debut as host of the long-running late-night sketch show.

In addition to MacFarlane and Ocean, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been tapped to host SNL the following week alongside musical guest Mumford & Sons, and Daniel Craig will take the helm on October 6th, when the musical guest will be Muse.

This will be Craig's first turn as host, and JGL's second (his debut appearance was in 2009).

SNL will have three fewer not-ready-for-primetime-players when it returns, with Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg, and Abby Elliot having announced their departure. Jason Sudeikis is also rumored to be mulling an exit.
