The 'Official Sequel' to A Christmas Story Will Make You Want to Shoot Your Eye Out
Truly, nothing is sacred.
The latest cash-grab sequel headed your way this holiday seasons is the "official sequel" to the much-loved 1983 Bob Clark comedy A Christmas Story.
It's seven years later, and a 16-year-old Ralphie (Braeden Lemasters) has moved on from the Red Ryder BB Gun to a new Christmas must-have: A 1938 Hupmobile Skyline Convertible.
Daniel Stern of Home Alone fame replaces Darren McGavin as The Old Man, and Stacey Travis steps in to fill Melinda Dillon's shoes as the new Mrs. Parker.
A Slashfilm commenter succinctly sums up this direct-to-DVD mess: "Haha. Official sequel. Get the fuck outta here with that shit."
