A Kentucky teen was jailed for two days after posting a status update on Facebook boasting about hitting a car while driving under the influence.

"My dumbass got a DUI and hit a car LOL," 18-year-old Paula Asher reportedly told her Facebook friends.

The status update so incensed the parents of the teens in car Asher allegedly struck that they asked a Woodford County judge to order its removal — along with the rest of Asher's Facebook page.

After she refused to comply with the order, the judge sentenced her to two days in the slammer for contempt of court.

Though Asher's remark was no doubt insensitive, as NBC News notes, it's unclear which law judge Mary Jane Phelps was invoking when she instructed Asher to delete her entire account.

In addition to driving under the influence while underage and possessing a controlled substance, Asher was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident. She is due to appear in court on September 27th.

"I apologize to everybody," Asher said after completing her jail sentence. "I apologize to the judge. I didn't mean to hurt anybody. I didn't think 'lol' would put me in jail."
