Jason Russell, co-founder of the dubious nonprofit Invisible Children, Inc. and creator of the questionable-at-best ultra-viral online awareness campaign Kony 2012, sat down recently with Oprah Winfrey for his first interview since his very public "masturbation meltdown" brought his controversial plans for world embetterment to a psychotic halt.

In the on-camera interview, set to air on the next episode of Oprah's Next Chapter (Sunday, 9PM ET), Russell, who was placed in a 5150 psychiatric hold after rampaging through the streets of San Diego without any clothes on, tells Oprah he was not himself at the time.

"How did you get your robe off? How do you go from running out with your robe on to your robe off?" Oprah inquired. "Again, it's really hard to explain if people who have never had an out-of-body experience, but it really wasn't me," Russell responded. "That wasn't me, that person on the street corner ranting and raving and naked is not me, that's not who I am."

In the aftermath of his dramatic fall from the Internet's good graces, Russell's wife Danica, who is also interviewed, claimed her husband suffered a "brief reactive psychosis" brought on by "extreme exhaustion, stress, and dehydration." Russell doesn't mention his diagnosis in the short excerpt released today by Harpo Studios, but admits that he was "very out of control."

Invisible Children, meanwhile, continue to fight their fight, timing the release of their next "film" to coincide with Russell's interview.
