Public Enemy hype man and wearable clock aficionado Flavor Flav (born William Drayton, Jr.) was allegedly involved in a heated altercation early this morning that resulted in his arrest on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence.

Las Vegas police officers arrived at a private residence early this morning after an unidentified woman called 911 claiming her fiance — later identified as Flavor Flav — had assaulted her and pulled a knife on her 17-year-old son.

Flav was booked into Clark County Detention Center but was released a few hours later after bailing out.

Flav spent most the '90s dealing with a crack cocaine habit that landed him in trouble with the law on multiple occasions. Since the turn of the century, he's mostly stuck to misdemeanor traffic violations and shuttering restaurants a few months after they open.
