Not even a police officer will stop a white guy trying to break into a car—but if a black guy tries he'll be in handcuffs in minutes.

That's the inference from the simple social experiment performed by YouTube channel Simple Misfits in this video. The white guy stood for a half hour on a busy street trying to jimmy the lock of a parked car as the alarm went off. The black guy? He lasted about two minutes before cops arrived to handcuff him.

As Business Insider points out, in 2o11, 64 percent of motor vehicle theft was committed by white people, while around 34 percent was committed by black people.
